USB Storage?

There is a USB port on the front of the Quarto, right next to the SD card slot, that I cannot find any explanation for. I tried plugging into it to see if it was a serial connection, but no dice. Is it an optional USB storage slot? Does it allow cross-linking between Quartos? Is it unconnected and just there for a possible future use? Does it act as a UART connection to the board that can be programmed within the Arduino IDE?

Sorry for the late reply. The front panel USB port is not currently implemented. There is hardware support for it, but due to low interest, developing the software for it has been a low priority. The idea is to support reading / writing to USB thumb drives. Let me know if that would be useful to you and I can increase the priority on implementing this (and you can beta test updated software if you are interested).

USB storage would be a nice way to store readings and then offload that data, without the need for a microSD card reader. It is not a life-or-death issue, though, just a general quality of life feature.
